Saw Throw Rag last night and they rawked! Can't wait to see them again! Captain Sean Doe (the singer) has great stage presence! The Scotch Greens were pretty good too, I was so happy that the last song they played was a Clash cover, Janie Jones. I didn't stay to see Gogol Bordello, had a long drive ahead me to get back home. Now if next month would just come quicker [img]smile.gif[/img]

Throwrag rocks! They are playing the HOB here on Sunday. Last time I saw them at the HOB, Sean was talking about the fine desert folk. He pointed at me and screamed Yucca Valley (which is the SHITHOLE town that I was unfortunate enough to grow up in). That was the only time since I've lived in OC that I was not embarrassed of the Yukks! haha
I've known that guy since I was a wee Yuccan!
I dont think I'll be making this show cuz I'll be coming back from Ventura. I'll probably be too tired after all the traffic.
I've seen them about 30 times, so theres always next time!
BTW, the Johns got added to the Frisco shows. I was debating on heading up there. Dont forget to check them out Greasergirl! They rock! They are an awesome local band. I know Jonny was trying to get them to open up for SD. I hope they add some local dates with them.
All those guys are usually around for Punk Rock Bowling. I hope your still going!! Its the best time, I'm telling ya!!

Are they playing this Sunday?? I will actually be in LA/OC area this Sunday through Thursday for work. Which HOB, Anaheim or Sunset? Hmmmm [img]graemlins/wonder.gif[/img]

Is there a web site somewhere that I can listen to the Johns?? I'll be there all 3 nights, I'm soo excited! Ya come up to SF so I'm not alone 2 of the 3 nights! Geekgirlxx you should come too! My friend that I am staying with there is only going to one of the nights with me. [img]frown.gif[/img]

I'll be at Punk Rock Bowling for sure at evening festivities, since I'll already have to be there for work. Just hope they don't change the dates!

I dont think the dates will change, but Sean still hasnt sent out any e-mails for where its at, although I heard its going to be back at Sams Town, which is nicer than the Gold Coast. I'm burnt out on the Gold Coast.

Checked them out and I like em! I'll be at the Fillmore, 13-15 Nov. I can't wait now to go to Vegas! Usually I am dreading it, only because of work. We are there for like 10 days and just nonstop drinking. The drinking part isn't the issue, it's just being on the trade show floor for 10+ hours and then being hung over trying to sell stuff! Cool, I'll check my message.

I dont know if I'm going to be able to get away during the week. I was thinking it was on a weekend, but I'll ponder it a bit more.
I hear ya on the Vegas thing. Its a bit much, it usually takes me a while to recover from a Vegas trip. My advice is to take it easy on some of the nights you are there.

It would be cool to have someone there, I hate going to shows by myself, I feel like everyone is staring at me! But once the boys hit the stage, it's better!

Do you by chance know of any stores that have pin up/vintage style under garments? I might need some more props for my photo shoot next week, well I guess I could go to Fredericks??

Off the top of my head Fredericks would probably be the best place to go to. There are some great novelty stores that might carry vintage style undergarments off and on, but I went into Fredericks last week and they had some really cute things. Victorias Secret had a lot of vintage style lingerie last year, but their line right now sucks!
You can always try Nordstroms, Macys, and Robinsons. They usually carry a variety of styles, you can find some pretty things with a little looking around. They all carry Rampage, who usually makes alot of sexy items.
I'll keep SF in mind...
